Some people just seem to exude a healthy summer glow, no matter the weather. Our stunning ambassador, Anna Heinrich, is one of those people – and now that’s she’s just returned to Australia from her sun-kissed European wedding, that enviable glow of hers is off the charts!
To bring a bit of sunshine into your winter skincare routine, Anna reveals the secrets to a year-round summer glow, and gives you the chance to win one of five skincare packs that will put you in holiday mode, regardless of what Mother Nature throws at you.
Hydrate from top to toe
With the drying effects of humidity, wind and heating, winter weather isn’t too kind to our complexions. And those long hot showers we love to take can wreak havoc on our skin, from the face to our feet. To maintain a healthy glow throughout the cooler months, I double down on the moisturiser. For my face, I use an Antioxidant Daily Renewal Cream in the morning and an Antioxidant Night Restoring Cream in the evenings. And for my body, I seriously slather on the Beauty Elixir Botanical Body Lotion, paying special attention to my elbows, knees and any other patches that are prone to dryness.
Shed your winter coat
To help bring back the glow and reveal dewy, smooth skin, I also up my exfoliation routine during winter. While I can get away with giving my face a scrub once a week during summer, in the cool weather I use a Retoning Facial Scrub more frequently. This natural formula of walnut shells, sunflower, aloe vera and green tea is gentle enough to use twice a week if need be, and it leaves my skin feeling soft and glowing.
Fake it ‘til you make it
As my honeymoon tan starts to fade, I’ll be bringing back a hint of summer with my favourite Multi Effect Tinted Moisturiser. I love the sheer coverage it provides, as well as the sunscreen for protection, which is just as important in winter as it is in summer!
