Looking after your skin is one of the best investments you can make – but it doesn’t have to cost a fortune. The key is to start as early as possible, and to use natural and organic skincare products that are both gentle and effective. Blessed by Nature ambassador Anna Heinrich reveals her simple skincare routine to fight the signs of ageing, offering protection for younger complexions and helping to wind back the clock for more advanced skin types.
Take the first steps towards future-proofing your skin
I’ve never been complacent with my skincare, and now that I’ve entered my 30’s I’m even more conscious of protecting my skin. Thanks to my beautiful mum I learned it was never too early to embrace a skincare routine that protects your skin from premature ageing, whether you’re just starting out on your skincare journey in your 20s or looking for a targeted skincare solution for women in their 50s.
Step 1: Moisturise morning and night
Start by using natural and organic moisturisers that are packed with antioxidants. Antioxidants are Mother Nature’s secret weapons in the anti-ageing stakes, as they fight free radicals, reduce inflammation, improve the skin’s elasticity, and target fine lines, wrinkles, scars and blemishes.
In the mornings, I apply an Antioxidant Daily Renewal Cream after cleansing to protect my skin throughout the day. After washing my face in the evening, I use a rich Antioxidant Night Restoring Cream, which revitalises and replenishes my skin while I sleep.
Step 2: Apply a deep oil treatment
For me, I’m all about embracing organic ingredients and foods in their purest forms – and that translates to my anti-ageing skincare routine, too. I don’t want a bathroom cupboard filled with ingredients I can’t pronounce, but I still need products that get the job done.
That’s why wild harvested Organic Rosehip Oil has become a go-to for me. Containing 100 per cent organic rosehip oil, this small but mighty bottle ticks a stack of my anti-ageing boxes: it fights inflammation, reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and blemishes, and improves the tone and texture of my skin. I apply a few drops after I’ve cleansed in the morning and evening – it absorbs quickly, without any residue, so I can apply my Tinted Moisturiser with sunscreen (another anti-ageing must!) directly on top.
Step 3: Target the eyes
A life without love and laughter is a life half-lived, and I wouldn’t change those moments of eye-crinkling joy for the world, but one of the first places that begins to show our age is the delicate skin around the eyes. By using an Antioxidant Soothing Eye Serum each day, I’m starting to erase those little wrinkles – but not the fun-filled memories that caused them!
